Tim Tucker, then Orange Beach's public works director, was charged with soliciting prostitution in an Escambia County, Ala., sheriff's operation, FOX10 reported, citing officials. The city said the incident happened outside Orange Beach, that Tucker "is no longer employed by the City," and that it named Tyler Davidson public works director. A charge is not a conviction.

Orange Beach Fire & Rescue answered structure fires at about 6:06 p.m. Sept. 22 in the 32800 block of River Road and about 1:19 a.m. Sept. 23 in the 33000 block. Neither home was occupied and no injuries were reported. Causes are under investigation, including lightning. Gulf Shores Fire Rescue, Escambia County Fire Rescue and Orange Beach police assisted.
