About Sugar Sand Line

Fort Morgan to the state line.

Information as of Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, 10:30 p.m. CT.

Sugar Sand Line is a guide to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan, Ala., for visitors and the people who live here: beaches and safety, things to do, events, food, getting around, services, real estate and local news.

How we choose sources

Official sources come first: the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Baldwin County, Alabama State Parks, the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center and Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism. Local news outlets come next. Every item links to where it came from, and each page ends with one list of sources. Links that need a subscription are marked.

We don't invent hours, prices, names or numbers. Live conditions such as beach flags, surf, tides and weather are links to the official source; we never post them as current. Public-safety items use "charged" for arrests, come from official releases, never name minors and never include booking photos.

Independence

Sugar Sand Line is not affiliated with Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, the City of Gulf Shores, the City of Orange Beach, Baldwin County, Alabama State Parks or any business we list. Directory listings are not endorsements. Featured placements are labeled "Featured."
